⁶ You rejoice in this,^[a] though now for a short time you have had to struggle in various trials^{(A) 7} so that the genuineness of your faith^(B)—more valuable than gold, which perishes though refined by fire^(C)—may result^(D) in^[b] praise, glory, and honor^(E) at the revelation of Jesus Christ.^{(F) 8} You love Him,^(G) though you have not seen^(H) Him. And though not seeing Him now, you believe in Him and rejoice^(I) with inexpressible and glorious joy,
